Community guidelines

How we treat each other in the city, on the website and in Discord.

These guidelines apply everywhere Verity RP lives: in the city, on this website and in our Discord. They sit alongside the server rules, which cover roleplay itself.

Respect everyone

  • Treat players and staff with respect, in and out of character.
  • No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination of any kind. In-character conflict is fine; out-of-character attacks are not.
  • Respect people’s boundaries. If someone asks to stop a scene for out-of-character reasons, stop.

Keep it safe

  • Never share anyone’s personal information (real names, photos, addresses, accounts) without their permission.
  • No sexually explicit content, and nothing that would be unlawful in South Africa.
  • No scams, phishing links, or attempts to obtain other people’s accounts.

Play fair

  • No cheats, mod menus, exploits or duplication. If you find a bug, report it in a Bug Reports ticket.
  • Don’t use streams, Discord or other outside information to gain an advantage in game.
  • No real-money trading of in-game money, items or vehicles.

Use the right channels

  • Report players, staff or problems through a support ticket so staff can track and respond properly. Please don’t call people out publicly.
  • Concerns about a staff member go in the Staff Reports category, which only senior staff can see.
  • Include times, names and evidence (such as clips or screenshots) where you can.

Disagreeing with staff

  • Follow staff instructions during an active situation, even if you disagree.
  • Raise disagreements afterwards in a ticket. Appeals go in the Ban Appeals category. Keep appeals calm and factual.
  • Never lie to staff or fake evidence.

Help the city grow

  • Welcome new players and help them find their feet.
  • Create stories that include others, not just ones that help you win.

Breaking these guidelines can lead to warnings, removal of whitelist access, suspension or a ban, depending on how serious it is. See our terms of use.
